Dr. Marcie Burn joined our team in August 2025. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she moved to Sarasota during high school and is a proud graduate of Riverview High School. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Florida before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009.

Dr. Burn practiced on Florida’s east coast for nine years before returning to the Sarasota area in 2018. She has a soft spot for Schnauzers and shares her home with Eli, her senior Schnauzer, along with two cats, Fredrick and Sissy.

Client communication is a top priority for Dr. Burn. She believes in building strong relationships with pet owners to ensure that every patient receives the best possible care—whether it’s maintaining wellness or providing support during illness.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Burn enjoys traveling with her husband, running races from 5Ks to marathons, playing golf, and spending quality time with her family.
