Laura Eslinger had dreamed of being a veterinarian for as long as she could remember. A native of Delaware, Dr. Eslinger and her family moved to Bradenton in 1991, where she attended Southeast High School. After graduation, Laura attended the University of South Florida where she received her B.S. in biology with emphasis in pre-veterinary studies. After spending 3 years working as a veterinary assistant, she knew it was time to make her dream come true.
In January of 2006, Laura began her studies at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts where she became the vice
president of PAWS (People for Animal Welfare on St. Kitts), a student-run organization providing supplies, medical care and foster homes to homeless animals on St. Kitts. After completing her clinical rotation at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida she graduated from Ross University with honors in 2009.
Laura has been the recipient of the Hill’s Scholarship Compassionate Animal Care Award and was nominated for the Small Animal Proficiency Award. Her professional interests include small animal internal and preventative medicine, acupuncture and oncology.
Dr. Eslinger’s motives for being a veterinary professional are best put in her own words, “I feel that the human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship that is essential to the well-being of both. I thoroughly believe in the power of the human-animal bond and feel it is my role to maximize the potential of this relationship.”
The doctors and staff are honored that Dr. Laura Eslinger has chosen to join us at Braden River Animal Hospital in our endeavors to enrich the lives of our clients, our patients and our community.
We hope you will join us in offering her a warm welcome to our practice.
